Industrial connectivity

Industrial environments require wired & wireless infrastructure built for OT.  We provide fit-for-purpose wireless technology and ruggedized network infrastructure supporting OT protocols, compliant to industrial standards and with multi-domain (IT+OT) management & automation.

What is industrial connectivity?

Industrial connectivity refers to the integration and networking (wired or wireless) of various industrial devices, machines, and systems to enable communication, data exchange, control and automation.

Having a resilient and robust industrial network is key for your OT/ICS operations and allows smart manufacturing, connected products and an improved operational efficiency.

What are the benefits?

Reliable Performance in Harsh Environments

Designed to withstand extreme conditions such as high temperatures, humidity, vibrations, and exposure to dust and chemicals and EMI.  This ensures consistent performance and reduces the risk of network failures.

Enhanced Operational Efficiency

With advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, these switches support various industrial protocols like PROFINET and EtherNet/IP, which help in optimizing network performance and ensuring seamless communication between devices.

Reliable indoor/outdoor wireless connectivity

Fiber-like wireless connectivity, ensuring high bandwidth, low latency, and seamless handoffs with zero packet loss. Support for  a wide range of industrial applications, from autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) on factory floors to remote operations in large outdoor environments.

Future proof

Cisco IE switches are designed to be scalable allowing for easy expansion as your network grows. This makes them a cost-effective solution for long-term use.

Enterprise grade security

Cisco IE switched offer a scalable solution, providing advanced visibility and security features such as asset and traffic identification, VLANs, port security, network access control, and micro segmentation techniques to isolate and secure network segments, effectively turning the network into both a security sensor and enforcer.

What will you get?

  • Spotit OT will survey and map out your current OT wired & wireless infrastructure.
  • Depending on brownfield or greenfield situation a specific plan of approach will be created.
  • Spotit OT will install all components and will validate the installation.
  • Depending on your wishes spotit ot can monitor your new environment on a 24/7 base ensuring operational continuity and detect network issues before they escalate.

How do we work?

  1. We conduct a thorough site survey to understand the physical environment, including potential interference sources, coverage areas, and existing infrastructure.
  2. We identify the specific needs of the industrial environment, such as bandwidth requirements, device types, critical applications and possible interference sources for wireless & wired connectivity.
  3. We develop a detailed High and Low-level design including both wired and wireless components.
  4. We install all network equipment with respect to cabling and industry standards and configure all devices following the low-level design, adhering to the secure by design principle.
  5. When everything is installed, we test the resilience and high-availability of the network assuring the network will perform as designed.

Why is this a priority?

A reliable, high available OT network is the backbone of modern manufacturing, supporting everything from operational efficiency to safety and compliance.

It ensures that industrial processes run smoothly without interruptions. This minimizes downtime, which can be extremely costly in terms of both time, money and resources.
